The Minnesota Football League, THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS LEAGUE IN SPORTS(TM), is the world's most fantastic football league. Founded in 1994 as a Front Page Sports Football Pro competition, the MFL has evolved and transformed over time into a computerized fantasy football league based on Yahoo.

In its first year, the MFL was made up of primarily Minnesota-based teams with one team located in nearby Baldwin, Wisconsin. At the start of its second year, the league office made the forward-looking decision to expand to markets in Europe and Florida. A hugely successful third season was marked by record attendance, another underdog champion, and the decision expand to ten teams for the 2001 season.


The expansion Angels rode Marshall Faulk to the Loki Cup...	as the defending champions set a new record in futility.

The recent offseason has seen many other changes as well. The well-traveled Venom franchise hopes that three times would prove the charm after being chased out of Vadnais Heights by the Westfield Lane Westies. The Minneapolis Freeze finally managed to strongarm their way out of an unfavorable Metrodome lease and have moved to their new home in Apple Valley, where they are now known as the Harlots. The two newest additions to the league are the Caserta Sealions and the Colorado Cocktails, who, despite extremely low expectations, will no doubt be hoping to repeat Savage's stunning achievement in winning the league championship as an expansion team.

The MFL is an extraordinarily competitive league, and indeed, no regular season champion has ever survived the playoffs to bring home the coveted Loki Cup, awarded annually to the winner of the MFL championship game. The league is known throughout the world for the extravagant flamboyance of its front offices, brilliance bordering on genius of its football minds, and above all else, a whole lot of smack talk.
